28 Days Later Vol. 5: Ghost Town

This is the 5th of 6 volumes in my 28 Days Later series and collects chapters 17-20.  Ghost Town finally reveals the enigmatic man who’s been following Selena since way back in issue 6 and ties the story back to the original film in, what I hope, a fun and interesting way.  Ale Aragon really comes into his own in this arc and does a superb job with the art (with Ron Salas doing great work on Chapter 17).  And, as always, Nolan Woodard’s colors really brings the perfect tone to the story.

Below is a ten page preview for your perusal.  The book hits stands tomorrow (10/15/11) and is available at your Local Comic Shop, Book Seller, Amazon, the Boom! Studios website, Comixology and, if you’re looking for some nifty reading material for your iPad or similar tablet device, you can buy all the singles at Graphically or through the Boom! Studios Comics app at iTunes.

Fantastic read. Zombies, post apocalypse world and machetes, whats not to like?
My only (somewhat odd) criticism was the use of Kilometres in signs on roads and an American apologizing for using Miles and then translating the distance to KMs, in the dialogue.
Although the UK uses the metric system officially, for many years, due to the many traditional UK eccentricities means road signs still display “miles” not kilometres. Also no one in the UK would need Miles translated to KM.
Even a quick clumsy Wiki explains this situation, this is a trivial minor point it slides it into some of the US views of the UK. This slight lack of research spoil it for UK readers, it reminds me of Marvel and DC titles from the past with US police uniforms (from NYC) on London Police

This writer is of course writing this from their UK Castle, picking my bad teeth, looking at the fog outside eating roast beef and drinking warm beer………
